Ask God To Show You

Good Morning!! The first, and most vital, priority in making any decision is asking; is it God's will,...is it God's way? Any decisions God guides us to make, will always be in complete agreement with His perfect Word,...the Bible. God never leads anyone to live or act contrary to His Word,...because His Word is His way for us. The psalmist prays to be lead in a straight path. This is the only kind of guidance that would do any of us any good, isn't it? If we were required to make decisions based to wisdom we don't have,...futures we can't see,...or knowledge we don't, then we would be doomed to failure.

Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.—Psalm 27:11 (NIV)

 

A straight path, is a path that we can clearly see, understand, and one that we are able to easily follow. The psalmist asks for this plain direction, because of his oppressors. If you do not recognize that you are dealing with oppressors, opposition, and enemies in every decision you make both big and small, then you are truly ignorant of the reality of this world. You have enemies in the spiritual world, that seek to draw you away from the path of godliness,...by any means necessary. Much of our opposition, to a particular decision, may come from well-meaning friends, or family,...whose priorities for us are not eternal, or God-centered.

 

Any decision made without God, is simply a decision to fail.

 

Father God, we pray for Your guidance, in every choice we make,...that Your Will be done,...and our way always be made straight and plain. Amen.
