Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.—Psalm 27:11 (NIV)
A straight path, is a path that we can clearly see, understand, and one that we are able to easily follow. The psalmist asks for this plain direction, because of his oppressors.
If you do not recognize that you are dealing with oppressors, opposition, and enemies in every decision
you make both big and small, then you are truly ignorant of the reality of
this world. You have enemies in the spiritual world, that seek to draw you away from the path of godliness,...by any means necessary. Much of our opposition, to a particular decision, may come from well-meaning friends, or family,...whose priorities for us are not eternal, or God-centered.
Any decision made without God, is simply a decision to fail.
Father God, we pray for Your guidance, in every choice we make,...that Your Will be done,...and our way always be made straight and plain. Amen.
"The Lamb that died to save us, is also the Shepherd that lives to lead us."
