Good Morning!! One of the key aspects of Jesus' earthly ministry was His focus on that which is unseen,...our hearts. Many of the people of His day were expecting an earthly king to save them from external problems. Yet Christ made it clear He came to elevate the old law beyond its legal purposes,...and to transform us from the inside out, to prepare us for a kingdom,...not of this world.
You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.—Matthew 5: 43-45 (NIV)
Forgiveness doesn't usually come easily,...people are capable of tremendous evil, depending on the wrong they feel has been done to them. But with God's grace, forgiveness on our end is not only possible,...but necessary.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us…
We are asking that God give us the same measure of forgiveness, that we give to others.
Father in Heaven, we are entrusting our hurts to You, as we hope to develop a heart of forgiveness. Holy Spirit, help us make peace with all those we have harmed, and all those who've hurt us. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
"Pray changes things, prayer changes people, and prayer changes marriages.
So don't limit your prayers to meals or to bedtime."
