Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.—Romans 12:1 (NIV)
And even on those rare times that we do give Him a gift, it's not the one thing that He has asked us for, over and over again,...obedience. Our gifts of stale, or warmed over worship and praise tell a different story, from that of our mouths. Praise is a continual choice that we should be making, again and again,...until it becomes a habit. Don't allow anyone or any circumstance to steal your joy, or keep you from praising and worshiping God! It's what keeps us kneeling before the manger, and is truly a gift fit for the King. In other words, the best Christmas gift we can give Jesus Christ is ourselves.
Obedience is the choice to do what God wants us to do,...not just an outward motion but an inner attitude.
Jesus, this year we want to celebrate Your birth, and Your life. We thank You
for coming to earth as a baby, bringing life and hope to us all. We
surrender to You. May each day be a celebration of Who You Are in our lives. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
