“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning—Matthew 25:40 (NIV)
Because we live in a democratic societies, we might also, begin to think that
rulers are set up or brought down, by popular vote or effective
fundraising. But, as Daniel reminds himself, God is the one who casts the
deciding vote for or against, any ruler. He may allow ungodly rulers
into power in order to fulfill His own purposes (as He did in the days
of Habakkuk), but He is still good,...and He is still sovereign.
It's OK to think that a new or old president, will make things all better, or far worse,
...but the real truth is that they can do no more or less, than God allows.
Blessed be the name of God, for ever and ever. He is worthy of
all our praise,... because He is God alone. And unlike any other ruler, He will always be sovereign. Amen.
"Today, you have the chance to be someone's miracle,...take it."
