Only God Is Enough

Good Morning!! The psalmist specifies "young" lions in to today's scripture, for the same reason that Isaiah writes, "even the youths shall faint and be weary" in 40:30,...because there is a vitality and strength that usually comes with youth. Your mind is flexible and fresh, you body is energetic and resilient, and your spirit is confident and free,...you feel invincible, and are more apt to take risks. These are wonderful resources that God gives to us while we are still learning, growing, and maturing. But even all these advantages won't save us from the disappointments, heart aches or pains, of life.

The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.—Psalm 34:10 (NIV)

Yet, anyone,...young or old, will find success, and will over-come,...when they seek the Lord. God is able to provide what youth alone cannot achieve,...God is able to give what strength alone cannot obtain. Are you still relying on your own decisions, your own strength, your own assets to deliver you from defeat and dissatisfaction? Know this; those who seek the Lord, and they alone, will find ever good thing that life has to offer. That's good news,...because even our youth, like everything else around us, will one day pass.

Not even the strongest, most talented, person on earth will not find lasting satisfaction, or avoid painful injury, by virtue of their strength or talent alone.

Lord we are so glad, that we have more to count on than ourselves. Thank You, Father God! Amen.
