Go Before God

Good Morning!! David asked, "Who may ascend the hill of the Lord?" The hill that he was referring to was Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem, where the temple was built. In the temple was the Holy of Holies,...where the Lord dwelt among His people. In verse four David lists the requirements, for people just to come near God.

Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.—Psalm 24:3, 4 (NIV)

When you first read this list, your heart starts to sink. It is humanly impossible to have hands and hearts that are pure,...to never worship idols,...and to never tell lies. God knows this! That’s why He sent His Son to die for us,...paying the sin price,...making us wholly acceptable, to a Holy God.

Never a need to be ashamed, because we have been made pure because of Christ.

O' Lord, thank You for making it possible, for us to climb Your Holy hill. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
