So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof —Proverbs 1:19 (KJV)
Ask yourself; "how much do I really need? " Jesus is clear about the accumulation of wealth,...as in the story of the man who tore down his barns to build bigger ones. God wants everyone to enjoy life and to share in it's good, but He does not find joy in the celebration of a few when many suffer.
Greed is keeping what we don't need.
God rejoices in the life of a giver,...but has no part of the greedy person's life.
God rejoices in the life of a giver,...but has no part of the greedy person's life.
O' Heavenly Father, open our eyes to the needs of those around us. Destroy the spirit of selfishness in our hearts, and teach us to give as you would give. In Jesus name, Amen.
(Today's message came from "Wisdom From The Proverbs" )
"If you don't think you have much to be thankful for,
...then try being thankful for some of the things you don't have."
...then try being thankful for some of the things you don't have."
