Don't Put Money Above God

Good Morning, It's Marvelous Monday!! This week, let's talk about MONEY,...you know, the thing we fight over most,...that stuff people lie, die, cheat, steal and lust for. It's God's chief rival for our hearts, and it's the stuff they say, makes the world go round. With money we can get cars, houses, and jewels,...all to convince others of our worth or value. When you have money, people wish they where you,...they behave more respectful,...they are more impressed with what you do, and say. But then comes the question that will both run, and ruin your life;..." Is it really me they care about, or just my money? "

So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof —Proverbs 1:19 (KJV)

Ask yourself; "how much do I really need? " Jesus is clear about the accumulation of wealth,...as in the story of the man who tore down his barns to build bigger ones. God wants everyone to enjoy life and to share in it's good, but He does not find joy in the celebration of a few when many suffer.

Greed is keeping what we don't need.
God rejoices in the life of a giver,...but has no part of the greedy person's life.

O' Heavenly Father, open our eyes to the needs of those around us. Destroy the spirit of selfishness in our hearts, and teach us to give as you would give. In Jesus name, Amen.

(Today's message came from "Wisdom From The Proverbs" )

"If you don't think you have much to be thankful for,
...then try being thankful for some of the things you don't have."
