Know God, Know Peace

Good Morning!! "Peace"...it's more than the stopping of wars, the end of violence, or the settling of an argument. Peace is more than just a visit to a quiet place, or listening to the rustling of leaves, moved by a soft breeze. It has nothing to do with the watching of racing waters. While some may find these things peaceful, they're not "peace".

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.—John 14:27 (NIV)

True peace is a gift from God,...it’s the spiritual presence of the living God,...by His Spirit. When true reconciliation between ourselves and God, is consummated,...then there is peace. "The Prince of Peace" is the name prophesied by Isaiah, referring to the anticipated Messiah. Jesus came into this world in such a humble way, and now we hear Jesus in His ministry say, "My peace I give you."

This is our challenge today,...this is our ministry,...through reconciliation of sin and guilt we find peace.

Dear Lord, make us instruments of Your peace today, through the work of Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

"It's not whats in our hands that makes us thankful,
...it's what in our hearts."
