If It Doesn't Help, Don't Hold It

Good Morning, It's Wednesday,...Mid-Week, And No Better Time To L.I.G.(Let It Go)!! Did you know it was possible, to become attached to negative feelings?...so much so, that we can find them comfortable and familiar? For many of us, to forgive is possibly the hardest thing God could ask of us.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.—Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

When we are offended, or hurt we can’t change the heart of the offender, but we can trust in God and His ability to change our heart, as well as that of others. It is a choice we make to forgive, regardless of how we feel, turning our negative thoughts, and anger over to God, allowing Him to heal and mend the situation.

We can hold onto bitterness, but soon find that it has a much greater hold on us.

Father God, help us to not hold so tightly to our anger, that bitterness overtakes our hearts. Today, allow us to make the choice, to release all of our anger and hurt into Your capable hands. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

"It's not whats in our hands that makes us thankful,
...it's what in our hearts."
