...but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth, unto those things which are before.—Philippians 3:13 (KJV)
Getting rid of the hurts in our lives is a great joy. But the temptation to start filling up a new bag,...with new things to weight us down, is strong. If we do, Christ's invitation still stands: "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28, TEV). Why take the trash out to the curb, only to bring it back in?
Whatever we're carrying,
...Jesus invites us to release it to Him.
Father in Heaven, help us to Let It Go. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
"People, places, events and things pass in and out of our lives,...what we're left with is whatever we've chossen to keep. There is where we have placed value."
