Pray

Good Morning!! In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul illustrated the bond of community by comparing us to the human body. He said we are different parts but still belong to the same body; we are interrelated and need one another. No one person has all the gifts of the Spirit,...we have different but related gifts. And that makes community necessary for wholeness.

Jesus prayed, "The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one."—Psalm 73:24 (NRSV)

God has called us together through Jesus into one family. It is a bond created in heaven and strengthened on earth as we work together in serving God. This is the pattern of personal relationships that's to be our model.

Each time the Holy Spirit prompts, pray for others,...even if you don't know why.

Blessed Holy Spirit, help us to love, respect, and care for one another. Teach us to live in community. In Jesus' name. Amen.

"You make a living by what we get,...but you make a life by what we give."
