...to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’—Acts 26:18 (NIV)
That is, He has
taken away our sin. By His blood we have been forgiven, and we’ve moved
from the darkness to the beautiful light of Christ. Though He faced sin’s temptation, He never sinned. He identified with us, and the Word of God was invested in us. Jesus
ultimately died for us, substituting for us on the cross. Second
Corinthians 5:21 says, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no
sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
God became one with us, in order that we might become one with Him.
Lord, You came into the darkness, shinning You Light and Love,...that we might fine our way out. And we we thank You, Jesus. Amen.
"The liberating truth of Christianity is that God meets us where we are, takes us as we are,...and loves us too much to leave us there."
