The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.—John 14:26 (WEB)
Jesus' own disciples were full of questions. When He told Peter what would happen to him in his old age, Peter,...being Peter,...just had to ask "what will happen to John?" (John 21:18-21). The Lord’s answer must have frustrated him. "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?...You must follow Me" (v.22). So many people are tempted to fill in the spaces that God has left blank. They don’t like dealing with the unknown, or the unclear. Neither do they enjoy doing the hard work of Bible study. But faith and hard work, are vital components of a vibrant Jesus-centered life (James 2:17).
The Bible is remarkable. It gives us just the information we need,...and no more.
God is the divine Author of life, and His ways are often mysterious,...and recognizing that, maybe our greatest discovery of all.
"Being true to God, starts with being true to self."
