" If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " —1 John 1:9 ( NASB )
Hebrews 9:14 asks, "How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Once your conscience is clear through faith in Jesus, you still need to "keep a good conscience" (1 Peter 3:16). How do you do this? You must live appropriately. This means learning God's ways. We must read the Bible and follow Christ. When we fail, and we will, we must run to Jesus, while we can still feel bad.
" The goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith " (1 Timothy 1:5).
