Reconciliation

Good Morning!! "Reconciliation", the bringing together of two parties that were previously at odds,...this how Paul frequently sums up the accomplishment of the cross. In Colossians Paul describes in detail why this reconciliation was necessary,...that is to say; there is not a person in the world who is by nature at peace with God. While we love to invent our own ideas and images of God, we resist His authority over us, and His self-revelation to us, by way of the Bible. We just want what we want, our way.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusationColossians 1:21-22 (NIV)

And for this reason, we are unacceptable in God's sight. He is good and we are evil. He is right and we are wrong. He is holy and we are dirty. But Jesus, has reconciled us through His death on the cross. And the clear implication is that, for those who are now in Christ, they have been reconciled to God in their minds and in their actions. We now strive to please and uphold God's glory.

When God sees us in Christ, He views us as Holy, unblameable, and unreproveable!

Thank You Father God, our reconciliation has been made possible only by the blood of Christ. Amen.

"Feed your faith with God's promises,...and you'll starve your doubts."
