When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.—1 Peter 2:23 (NIV)
How was Jesus able to respond so graciously in the face of such horrible, and unfair treatment? Peter gives us the secret: He committed Himself to God,...who judges righteously. Can we trust God to right, the wrongs that have been done to us,...leave it to Him, to punish those who have wronged us? Because we still nurse personal vendettas,...we can rest assured that we've not yet grasped, or embraced, the justice and wisdom of God.
Jesus had complete faith in the justice of God,...but do we?
Lord guard our hearts, guard mouths, so that our actions honor You. Amen.
"Know
this; We're all enabled and equipped to carry out God's purpose for our
life,...if God said it, then it will come to pass."
