Good Morning!! Apart from Jesus, Abraham very well could be, the most important person in the Bible. Often called " father of the faithful,"
it is with Abraham that the story of redemption really begins. For
reasons unknown to us,...God calls this previously unheard of man, and
promises him some unbelievable things. "I will make you into a great
nation and I will bless you and make your name great, and you will be a
blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I
will curse; and all the people on earth will be blessed through you." v.2,3.
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.—Genesis 12:1 (NIV)
You might think Abraham
must have been quite a special person,...that he must have been super
talented or greatly gifted. But that just wasn't the case, at all. There
was nothing extraordinary in Abraham, that commended him to God. In
fact, he came from a family of idol worshipers. It was his response, to
the call of God, that made him special.
God did not call
Abraham because he was a great person,...he became a great person
because God called him,...and he answered; " Yes, Lord ! "
Amazingly, God calls us too,...and He has blessings with our name on them.
The question then becomes; are we ready and willing to answer; " Yes, Lord ! " ?
The question then becomes; are we ready and willing to answer; " Yes, Lord ! " ?
"Obedience, always leads to abundance."
