Saved??

Good Morning, And Thank God!! Christians have always struggled to find the right words to explain how salvation works,...how it is that we are freed from sin and death through Jesus' death on a cross so many years ago. Even after reading and reflecting on Scriptures, an articulate Christian might say, " Well, it's hard to explain exactly how salvation works."

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.—2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)

You could say; Salvation is like a mighty victory. Or, it is like liberation. Or, it is more like a wonderful exchange. Paul tried to explain how salvation works in 2 Corinthians 5:21 where he says that Christ took our place of sin so we could take Christ's place of righteousness. It seems that we traded places with Jesus! Talk about a deal! By excepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we walked away from a sin debt that we could never have paid,...and we received grace, mercy and a righteousness we could never have earned.

Jesus is my Savior and Lord,...as well as Savior and Lord of all the world.
