Good Morning!! We've all heard the phrase "the cross road." It refers to that point where decisions are made. In the realm of faith,...the "cross road" is where the law of God, intersects our lives, and becomes a part of our everyday experience. It is where we turn from "I believe" to "I know," from simply agreeing, to action.
Be doers of the word, and not merely hearers.—James 1:22 (NRSV)
If the gospel is to have meaning for us, and through us for others, we must discover the cross road in our lives. It is that point where we move from just saying " Love your enemy " to actually loving our enemies, from saying " Someone should feed the hungry" to actually feeding the hungry.
At some point, God expects us to turn our good intentions into very real actions.
Lord, help us to move from faith to practice,....from saying to doing. In Jesus' name. Amen.
"To extend kindness cost us nothing,...yet the rewards are great."
