Goals

Good Morning!! Your goals are important because of the person you become in achieving them. Attainment of your goals is always nice, but even better is the growth that you experience along the way.

You didn't choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won't spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.—John 15:16 (The Message)

Look at the goals that you have set for yourself and ask yourself,...what kind of person must I become in order to reach these goals? What skills, values, character traits, knowledge and disciplines must I develop in order to accomplish these things?,...then most important of all,...are they Godly?

Life is a never-ending growth process,
...and no living person is ever beyond redemption.
Sweet Spirit of God, give us a heart for God, and Godly things. Let God's will, become our will. Allow us to learn the ways of God, and be obedient to them. Help us extend our love for God, to all God's people. Amen.

You have heard it said that; "the lust for money is the root of evil.",
...but I tell you this; "Selfishness is the root of all sin."

Thanks

Good Morning, Worship Should Always Include Thanks!! Another one of God's many gifts to us is this: When we look for a reason to give thanks, we find it. We're able to see old things in new ways. Paul reminds us that living under God's love means giving God thanks in all that life brings,...even in what may be viewed as hard times.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father.—Ephesians 5:20 (TEV)

Everything we do, we should be doing as though it was for God,...don't let people or situations change that. Instead of approaching adverse work situations and difficult people as a cross to be endured, We can and should look at them as opportunities to learn patience and compassion.

Old problems and long-held grievances yield to the power of thankful living.
Thanks be to God!,... Always, in all things!!

"One measure of our likeness to Christ is our sensitivity to the suffering of others."

Understand

Good Morning!! We have all we need, when we truly understand what God has provided for us through His Holy Spirit. Many times we run to our families, friends and counselors for guidance or instruction. Many times we search through books, CDs and DVDs for guidance,...even though the Lord in His mercy and grace has told us to come to Him. By reading His Word and learning from Him, we could avoid a lot of unnecessary hurts, sins and problems, that we continually run into head first.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.—Psalm 32:8-9 (NIV)

Go to the source for instruction and counsel,...go to God, the Maker of all things. He will give you the desires of your heart, if you truly turn to Him. Life's changes can be scary, but the Lord promises to watch over you, lead you and help you, as you chose to trust only in Him. In His council, we will receive peace and in time, He will give us understanding.

The B.I.B.L.E. is; basic instruction before leaving earth.
Lord help us to put the faith, and time in You, that we have so willingly place in others. No one knows us, or our situations, like You do. Allow us to rest on Your promises, more each day,...for it is in You that we have our very being. In Jesus name, Amen.

"To extend kindness cost us nothing,...yet the rewards are great."

The Cross Road

Good Morning!! We've all heard the phrase "the cross road." It refers to that point where decisions are made. In the realm of faith,...the "cross road" is where the law of God, intersects our lives, and becomes a part of our everyday experience. It is where we turn from "I believe" to "I know," from simply agreeing, to action.

Be doers of the word, and not merely hearers.—James 1:22 (NRSV)

If the gospel is to have meaning for us, and through us for others, we must discover the cross road in our lives. It is that point where we move from just saying " Love your enemy " to actually loving our enemies, from saying " Someone should feed the hungry" to actually feeding the hungry.

At some point, God expects us to turn our good intentions into very real actions.
Lord, help us to move from faith to practice,....from saying to doing. In Jesus' name. Amen.

"To extend kindness cost us nothing,...yet the rewards are great."

Let It Go!

Good Morning!...Learn To Let It Go!! Corretly dealing with conflict is hard,...and it takes a toll on both parties. Defensiveness goes up, and trust goes down. The one who needs to forgive, and the person who needs to ask for forgiveness, have their set of difficulties. The one who would forgive deals with skepticism or dought. " If I foregive, they will just do it again." The one who needs forgiving, has to admit to themselves that they've hurt someone else, as a result of their bad behavior, or words. They must continually work, not just repairing the damage, but to not cause more.

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.—Matthew 18:21-22 (NIV)

To ask forgiveness is to admit that we do not have the ability or power to fix something in us. It's more natural, in the flesh, to simply justify or rationalize our bad behavior, than to continually trying to change it. That is why Jesus takes both sides. If someone is repeatedly willing to ask forgiveness, sincerely looking for help, then we need to be willing repeatedly to restore that person back into our hearts and lives.

We have all sinned against GOD, more than anyone else,...and if we are repentant, He is willing to forgive us,...over and over and over again. We are expected give no less.
Father, Your mercies are new every morning,...probably because we use them up, the day before. As we ask forgiveness from someone, we ask You O'Lord to give us a humble heart and a spirit willing to be changed. As we are being asked to forgive,...we ask You to help us look to You for help in restoring them back in our hearts without bitterness. We pray that we're able to keep Your focus, and Your heart during the conflicts,...and not our own. In Jesus' name, Amen.
