Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.—Matthew 6:10b (KJV)
Thy will be done,...offers a note of resignation, in a sense, when we pray "Thy will be done to me," we're volunteering ourselves, for God’s service. Thy will be done through me,...that’s something else altogether. We're now saying; "Father, we want what you want,...and we want to help make it happen". Jesus moved resolutely to His cross with the confidence of a person perfectly in sync with the Will of God. "Thy will be done",...means some of your own wants may have to be crucified,...but you will have the quiet confidence of knowing that God’s Will isn't just happening to you,...it's happening through you. And you too, will be the calmest person in the garden.
"My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work."
(John 4:34)
(John 4:34)
Father in Heaven, let Thy will be done,...in, through, and with our lives. Amen.
"...the individual whose track record is morally pure has no better chance at earning God's favor than the individual who has made a wreck and waste of their life, and is currently living in unrestrained disobedience."
