Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD.—Isaiah 31:1 (NIV)
As Christians today, we have God’s Holy Spirit, who is our Helper and our Comforter. Trials and hard times are inevitable in our lives because we live in a fallen world, that will bring sorrows and pains. Though we will be tempted at times, to give up and to go back to our familiar territories, we must press on towards the upward call of Christ Jesus. Do not put your trust in the strength of men, or money, or worldly power,...but put your trust in the Lord only. Let's keep our eyes on the path of Jesus, as He has marked the way.
Keep your focus on Jeses,...and He will see you through.
Lord, remind us that we were never given a spirit of fear, but rather One of power. Holy Spirit, encourage, and move us to a position of trust, that we may not prove weak in the face of men,...but trust fully in our God. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
"Every saved person this side of heaven owes the gospel to every lost person this side of hell."
