New Grace, New Mercies, A New Start

Good Morning!! Regardless of how we come to know Jesus, the result for each new believer is the same,...we have a fresh new starting point. In order for us to make the most of this new beginning, old things must pass away. What old things? Old sinful habits and behaviors,...they should change at some point in the life of every believer. The fruit of the Spirit should begin to replace the lusts of the flesh.(see Galatians 5:19-23) Love instead of hate,...kindness instead of cruelty,...peace instead of fear and anxiety. It's the Holy Spirit that convicts us,...and makes it clear that certain activities are against God,...and then helps us to stop doing them.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!—2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

A believer in Jesus Christ is made new, only by the Spirit, and not by good deeds or hard work. Don't try to be a holy person by good works within yourself,...we do not have the power to make ourselves righteous. It is only by God's grace and power, that you are born again, a new creation made by His hands,...and with His love, He will mold you into His image,...day by day. We're all a work in progress,...that in the ripeness of time, He will complete.

We are born again by the Spirit of God, when we believe in Jesus Christ,
...and ask Him to be our Lord and Savior.

Lord we start this day asking that You have Your way with us. We know You make all things new, and that Your mercies are new every morning. Help us Father, to be open enough to believe and receive all that You have for us. Amen.

"Instead of being preoccupied with our problems,
...let’s praise the Lord for His blessings."
