Knowing God, Is Job One

Good Morning!! Even Jesus spent time reading the scriptures and praying to the Father. His relationship with the Father was primary and He followed His instructions,...all the way to the cross. Our goal should be to become more like Christ; until our relationship with Him is reflected in our daily lives.

Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. —John 5:19 (NIV)

We also have a responsibility to spend time reading the scriptures; as they are our instructions for every day living. God will give us the ability to understand and to apply His word to our life. We cannot neglect spending time building our relationship with Him through prayer and worship.

Through the Word, we discover His heart and desires and they become ours.

Father God, You are our source, and our strength in all things. We read the scriptures and ask that You give us the strength to apply Your instructions to our daily lives. And we thank You, for Your Word. Amen.

"Faith without works is like a car with out gas,
...it gets us no where."
