Good Morning!! First Corinthians 3 tells us that the Lord assigned tasks to each one. The seeds were planted and watered, but verse seven says, "Neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." Farmers sow their seeds in faith that they will grow. Sometimes that seed rots in the ground and there is no yield. Yet the farmer plants again.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.—Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Christians are much like farmers, planting seeds of love and truth in the world. Some seeds will sprout and bear fruit, resulting in new Christians. Both farmers and believers experience droughts, times when we plant seeds but see few results. We may become discouraged. But to be successful we must put our trust in God and sow more seed.
God gives the harvest,...it's up to us to be faithful.
Eternal God, our Father, help us to have the faith we need to continue planting seeds of hope and love,...even when we don't see the desired results. Amen.
"The Spirit of the Lord is here!"
